No room for pops?!

Don’t think you have enough freezer space to fix 8 boxes of pops? We’ve got you covered! We worked with Hannah Goetz Organizing to get the best way to efficiently organize your freeze space.

1. Remove all items and clean out freezer

This is a great time to clear out any freezer burned or old items. Once you’ve taken everything out, sort the remaining items into categories based on the type of food and packaging. Some examples include: fruits & veggies, frozen entrees and desserts.

2. Insert dividers to keep food separate

2. Insert dividers to keep food separate

Be sure to properly store foods in freezer safe containers. We’ve used these freezer bins that come in a variety of sizes to help separate our categories.

3. Unbox pops into dividers

To save additional room, remove any unnecessary packaging. Remember to label your containers with dates to take the guesswork out of how long it’s been in there. We love those erasable food storage labels to keep track.

4. Group by food type and size

4. Group by food type and size

Put like items together so they’re easier to find and use when needed. Bulkier items, such as frozen pizzas, fruit and vegetable bags and meats are great to put in the bottom freezer drawer since it’s deeper. Smaller items, such as pops, ice cream and smaller packages are great for the top drawer to easily access and keep separate. This will also help the freezer not feel cluttered. Since you’re using containers, don’t be afraid to take out any removable dividers that are original with the freezer.
